  Appropriate
Christian Yoga? by Latha Jebackumar (LOL January 2013) is very appropriate and urgent. The western Church is already in the grip of yoga cult. The so-called martial arts like judo and karate have the same demonic origin. Many Christian schools include all these occult practices in their curriculum without the knowledge of its origin. Every true Christian should stay away from such demonic practices to keep their body, mind and spirit holy.

  Article On Yoga
I had been planning to write an article on the inadvisability of Yoga for Christians for quite some time. Somehow I couldn't do it. Glad that LOL has published Latha Jebackumar's Christian Yoga? (January 2013). 'Christian Yoga' does not exist. Proverbs 28:26 says, "A man is a fool to trust himself! But those who use God's wisdom are safe." Christianity neither says "No" to self-confidence nor under-estimates the need to boost one's morale. Latha has proved beyond doubt the Satanic deception in the form of Yoga. Self-examination led to the fall of the archangel Lucifer. A popular Tamil lyric begins like this: manithan enbavan dheivamaahalaam (man can become God, perhaps a deity). Never!

"I (God) have helped them and made them strong, yet they turn against Me" (Hos.7:16). Do you want to practice Yoga as a physical exercise to gain strength? You can't do that "apart from the religious beliefs that undergird it," as Latha puts it clearly.

If LOL publishes articles on the dangers of following other cultural practices also, that would foster spiritual growth of Christians. There are not many secular cultural practices in our country.

  Astonished And Spellbound
Thank you for Light of Life January 2013 issue which I just received. I was astonished and spellbound at the way the author P. Samuel Manoharam explains God's intentions in his article Without God Man's Life Makes No Sense. A very appropriate answer to the atheists of the present generation. I wish to highlight some of the truths the author brings out in this article: "Man, essentially, is a spiritual being, with the capacity for experiencing God." "Life makes sense to us only when it is totally related to God…" "There is a vacuum in the heart of every man which only God can fill with Himself." "If you look at the world, you will be distressed; if you look within, you will be depressed; but if you look at Christ, you will be at rest." Oh, what a marvellous, truly Christ-centred experience the author has shared!
