  Valuable Articles
It has always been a pleasure to get LOL every month loaded with valuable articles. I would like to appreciate Duke Jeyaraj for yet another wonderful article Lessons from The Dirty Picture. He had dealt with the very sensitive issue of this era beautifully and left a polite, but stern note for the reader. I equally appreciate the LOL team for their courage in publishing such thought provoking articles.I wish God raise many such people like John the Baptist in preparing the world to repent and turn around to God with humility. At this juncture, I would like to point that the Pastors of our churches should have courage to say NO to the brides to wear very exposing gowns on their wedding day. It is so painful to see many photos taken with such revealing gowns standing in front of the altar of the church and broadcasting via Face Book. I wish the mothers would guide their daughters to be modest and conduct themselves with dignity.

  Deeply Inspired
I must tell you how much I appreciate your monthly publication, LOL. Particularly noteworthy are the contributions by Zac Poonen, Robert Clements and Shantanu Dutta, whose articles are eagerly awaited month after month. I find myself deeply inspired and comforted by their Christ-like approach to the Biblical text and real life situations. Mr. Zac Poonen, you were greatly missed in the two months that your writing did not appear.

I would also like to congratulate the mailing department on their excellent efficiency, as I am reminded that it is the 1st of the month by the arrival of LOL in the post.

  Godís Standard
Everyone is worried about degradation in our socio-political system. All are only making cries in the wilderness. God Almighty has already set certain yardsticks in selecting leaders. Moses not only recorded it, but also put decentralisation into practice (Exo. 18: 20-22). We have introduced the three tier system of governance in our democracy. The problem we are suffering from is in selecting the right people to lead us: Are we choosing men who fear God, men who are trustworthy and men who hate dishonest gains? In election after election, we choose the same type of people who have no fear of God, who have no honesty and they all are engaged in wanton corruption. Everyone is now fed up with this system of selection. God has set the highest standards in imparting true justice to His people. We are not following the standards set by God. The reason is quite obvious. Our Election Commission has partially agreed to adopt the system of 'Right to Recall.' We need to rigidly look to the yardstick set by God. This system is a replica of the heavenly/eternal system and the fault lies only in our selection. Let us, therefore, discern and follow the correct selection.

  Greatly Benefitted
Olga Das' article: Endeavour To Honour God And His Word (LOL March 2012) spoke to me in a very special way. I quite agree with the author when he says "honouring God's Word is the same as honouring God Himself." The Living Bible renders it beautifully in Psalm 138: 2b. [...your (God's) promises (The Word) are backed by all the honour of Your (God's) name (meaning You have exalted your Word above all Your name)...]. We should never say "we don't have time to read the Bible." What are we doing that's more important than that? As we meditate on the Word of God we grow in spiritual maturity.

The Case Of A Romantic Liaison by Geo Varghese is an important article. The style of writing enhances the readability of the write up. Young people would be greatly benefitted if they read this article. The lines "Now that you (Steffi) have grown up, will you just ungraciously chuck them (Parents) out of your decision making system?"appealed to me the most. Parents would be happy to read such counsels to young people. A well balanced article, useful to all the families and to the society at large! Kudos to G.V and thanks to LOL!.

  Biblical Perspective
Thank you for sending the magazine regularly. I can learn about many issues faced by people in Biblical perspective. It is the magazine where people have opportunity to express their views. I refer to some of their views in my ministry and with people too. It also gives more information and prayer requests for people to pray for them.
