"And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever" (1Jn.2:17).

One night God gave me this dream. I was in college when I got this dream. I was in a train. I was looking outside the window. There was an orange glow in the sky. It was eerie outside. It could have been the sunset or a great fire. The light outside the window was enough for those seated inside the compartment and everybody was quiet and sitting still, just observing what was going on outside the window. I saw that whatever was outside the window was changing its shape without its will. It looked like it was mutating. I saw a stalk with a sunflower change into a fountain and then change into an elephant. I quickly looked at all of us inside the train and realised that all of us were safe inside. We were all sitting quietly, but aware that those outside the train were not safe. In the dream, I just knew that this was the end of the world and that I was safe.

I woke up in relief. This was the first of what I call the end-of-the-world dream series because all through my college years God gave me many such dreams, and I was always safe and usually the one who knew what was happening. I did not know then that I had a call of God on my life or that my Mom had dedicated me to the service of God.

The Day Of God
2 Peter 3:10-13 says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall burn with fervent heat, and the earth and everything that is done on it will be disclosed. Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought you to be in leading lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set ablaze and dissolved and the elements will melt with fire? But, in accordance with His promise, we wait for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness is at home."

What wonderful words... waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God!

No wonder, Jesus asked us to pray that the Kingdom of God would come on earth and His will done on earth as it is in heaven. He also said, "Pray that the end will not come in winter or on the Sabbath." I trust that you have been praying.

2 Timothy 4:8 says, "Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the Righteous Judge shall give me at that day and not to me only, but unto all them that love His appearance." I would deeply regret missing this crown. How about you?
